Aber Town Manager Antonio Corbisiero took time out over the weekend to express gratitude to the forty or so loyal Black and Green supporters at Penybont who stayed loud and loyal despite a disappointing result. “Thank you to the supporters who turned up to Penybont away for the fantastic support for the Club and for us, with the return to football. Unfortunately it wasn’t the result that we wanted, but we can’t thank you enough for continuing to support the players and the staff throughout the whole game, and for staying behind after, to clap and to sing to the boys as we were coming off the pitch.” The supporters continued to sing for fully five minutes after the final whistle and Corbs hopes that their loyalty can inspire the team next week: “Hopefully that gave the boys motivation to realise that the fans are 100% committed and behind them, and I firmly believe that we can look forward to the game with Cefn Druids next week and get the 3 points we vitally need.” Aber Town host Cefn Druids on Friday night in the JD Cymru Premier (KO 8pm) and a similar level of support will help the Back and Greens to get a positive result: “A massive thank you from myself and the coaching staff and the players for your continued support and we look forward to hearing the drum and the songs being sung down at Park Ave next Friday”.
