Mae CP Tref Aberystwyth yn falch o gyhoeddi dychweliad y chwaraewr canol cae Jake Canavan, ar fenthyg o'r Seintiau Newydd tan ddiwedd tymor 2023/24. Aberystwyth Town FC are delighted to announce the return of midfielder Jake Canavan on loan from The New Saints until the end of the 2023/24 season. 20 year old Canavan returns having spent the second half of last season on loan at Park Avenue, making nine appearances and scoring once.
Born in Liverpool, Jake spent time in Manchester City and Burnley's Academies, before linking up with The New Saints in 2021. Since then he has made 35 appearances for his parent club, including a substitute appearance in the UEFA Europa Conference League Qualifier against Swift Hesperange earlier this season. The midfielder has scored three goal for TNS this term, with two of these coming against the Black and Greens in September. Jake told atfc.org.uk: "It's great to be back at Aber after last season's loan spell which I felt was very beneficial for me personally. Hopefully this season ends just as successfully as last season, and we can gain as many points as possible between now and the end of the season." Manager Anthony Williams commented: "We're delighted to get Jake back in, he made a great impact at the end of last season and played a big part in us maintaining our status in the League. Admittedly we tried to get him in the summer but couldn't quite get over the line with him then going on to have a Man of the Match performance and score two goals against us at Park Hall, so everyone is aware of the quality he brings."
