Mae Clwb Pêl-droed Tref Aberystwyth wedi bod yn ffodus tu hwnt i gael Matthew Wallace yn golygu ein rhaglen ardderchog ar ddiwrnod gêm dros y tymhorau diwethaf. Fodd bynnag, oherwydd y rhesymau personol sydd wedi eu hamlinellu isod gan Matthew, bydd yn trosglwyddo’r cyfrifoldeb i Dilwyn Ellis Roberts, cyn-olygydd y rhaglen, pan fydd y tymor newydd yn dechrau. Yn ôl Matthew: “Mae wedi bod yn anrhydedd llwyr i gael fy ngwahodd i olygu’r rhaglen ar gyfer y clwb pêl-droed gwych hwn dros y blynyddoedd diwethaf ond gyda babi ar fin cyrraedd, mae’r amser wedi dod i drosglwyddo’r teyrnasiad i fy ffrind da. Dilwyn “Rhwng Covid a’r brwydrau i osgoi disgyn o’r uwch-gynghrair fu’r un rhifyn yn brin o gynnwys i’w roi yn y rhaglen! Hoffwn ddiolch i Tom Bates, yr holl reolwyr a chwaraewyr yn ogystal â holl dîm y cyfryngau ddoe a heddiw gan gynnwys Colin Ewart a Rhys Barron am eu cymorth gyda’r cyhoeddiad. Rwy’n gwybod bod y Seasider mewn dwylo da ac rwy’n edrych ymlaen yn eiddgar at ddarllen y rhifyn cyntaf yn y tymor newydd!” Wrth ymateb, dywedodd Dilwyn ei bod hi’n dda bod yn ôl! “Ar ôl bod yn olygydd rhaglen diwrnod y gêm am nifer o flynyddoedd rwy’n deall yr ymrwymiad a’r egni mae Matthew wedi’i ddangos wrth sicrhau bod gan Clwb Pêl-droed Tref Aberystwyth gyhoeddiad rhagorol wedi ei pharatoi ar gyfer pob gêm gartref. Rwyf wedi ysgrifennu ugeiniau o erthyglau ar gyfer y rhaglen dros y blynyddoedd oedd yn dwyn y teitl ‘Dallt Dim: The Man Who Knows Nothing” ac mae fy ngwybodaeth o bêl-droed yn aros yr un fath! Fodd bynnag, mae gennyf rywfaint o fewnwelediad i'r heriau o sicrhau ein bod fel Clwb yn parhau ar y lefel uchaf o bêl-droed yma yng Nghymru. Mae dychwelyd fel golygydd y rhaglen diwrnod gêm yn werthfawrogiad o waith Matthew a phawb arall sy’n rhoi o’u hamser a’u hegni i Glwb sydd mor bwysig i bob un ohonom.” ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aberystwyth Town Football Club is delighted to announce that after a short search, a new editor for 'The Seasider' has been found. For the past few years, we has been extremely fortunate to have our excellent matchday programme edited by Matthew Wallace over recent seasons. However, due to personal reasons outlined below by Matthew, he will be passing the mantle to former programme editor Dilwyn Ellis Roberts when the new season commences. According to Matthew: “It’s been an absolute honour to have been asked to edit the programme for this wonderful football club for the past few years but with the imminent arrival of a baby, the time has come to pass on the reigns to my good friend Dilwyn. “Between Covid lockdowns and relegation battles there’s not been an edition that have been short on content to fill it with! I’d like to thank Tom Bates, all the managers and players as well all the media team past and present including Colin Ewart and Rhys Barron for their assistance with the publication. I know that the Seasider is in good hands and I can’t wait to read the first edition in the new season!” In response, Dilwyn stated that it was good to be back! “Having been editor of the matchday programme for many years I understand the commitment and energy Matthew has shown in ensuring that Aberystwyth Town F.C. has an excellent publication prepared for every home game. I’ve written scores of articles for the programme over the years under the title of ‘Dallt Dim: The Man Who Knows Nothing” and my knowledge of football remains the same! However, I do have some insight into the challenges of ensuring that our Club remains at the highest level of Welsh football. My return as programme editor is an appreciation of the work by Matthew and all those who give of their time and energy to a Club which is so important to all of us.” Photo Credit: Colin Ewart (Pitchside Images) Comments are closed.
