Aberystwyth Town Football Club are delighted to announce that defenders Alan Goodall and Tom Evans have signed for the club ahead of the start of the JD Welsh Premier League season at home to Llandudno on Friday evening.
Goodall can play in a central defensive or left back role, and brings a wealth of football league experience to Town's youthful side. He began his footballing journey at Bangor City back in 2001, playing a total of 91 games (scoring 10 goals) and making the Welsh Premier League Team of the Season back in 2004. Since then, he's made over 300 appearances in the Football League with Rochdale, Stockport County, Chesterfield, Luton Town, Grimsby Town and most recently Morecambe - scoring 20 goals in the process. He spent the 2016/17 season at Altrincham of the National League North, and will be a valuable addition to Aber's squad for the forthcoming season. Local youngster Tom Evans is an attacking full back who can play on the left or right side - as demonstrated in Aber's most recent friendly against Neston Nomads. Tom played a significant part in Bari Morgan's u19's Welsh Premier Development League winning squad last season, creating a number of goal scoring opportunities from the right back position. He's spent time playing for Bow Street in recent seasons, but has now committed to the black and greens by signing on for the 2018/19 JD Welsh Premier League season. Everyone at the club is delighted to welcome both Alan and Tom to Park Avenue, and hope to see both players in action in the JD Welsh Premier League over the coming weeks Comments are closed.
