Aberystwyth Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signings of five new players on transfer deadline day as they gear up for tonight's JD Welsh Premier League Clash with Llandudno. Adam Walters, Harry Cottam, Carwyn Jones, Jamie McDaid and Bradley Johnson all put pen to paper with the Black and Greens on Thursday.
Goalkeeper Adam Walters re-joins the club after spending the majority of last season in the playing squad. He originally hails from York, and has spent spells playing for Aberystwyth University and more recently Barmouth and Dyffryn United. He will play as Number 12. Carwyn Jones joins the club from local Cymru Alliance outfit Penrhyncoch - he originally hails from Harlech and is a strong defender, known for his ability on the ball. Squad number 11. Harry Cottam joins the club from Carno; the Machynlleth man has spent time playing for Bari Morgan's u19's side and more recently gained senior experience playing with Carno in the Spar Mid Wales League. Squad number 16. Jamie McDaid is a pacey right winger who joins the club from North Wales outfit Holyhead Hotspur, having previously spent time at Holywell Town and Bangor City. He has experience of playing in the Welsh Premier League with the Citizens and also has a wealth of Cymru Alliance playing time under his belt. Squad number 19. Bradley Johnson joins the club, pending international clearance, after spending time playing in New Zealand, but also spent time playing with Manchester City as a youngster. Squad number 18. The club would also like to announce the release of winger Nashawn Blake, and would like to thank him for his services playing for the Black and Greens.
