Credit: Connah's Quay Nomads Mae CPD Tref Aberystwyth yn falch i groesawi Luca Hogan ar fenthyg o Gei Conna tan Ionawr 2024. Newydd droi'n 18 mlwydd oed, mae'r ymosodwr ifanc yn barod wedi cyflwyno ei hun mewn Gwyrdd a Du gan chwarae'r gem cyfan yn erbyn Y Drenewydd ar brynhawn Sadwrn. Aberystwyth Town FC are pleased to welcome Luca Hogan on loan from Connah's Quay Nomads until January 2024. The recently-turned 18-year-old striker has already introduced himself to the Green Army having played the full ninety on Saturday afternoon at Newtown's Latham Park. A member of the Nomads' Academy throughout his youth career, Luca was a standout player last season as the young Deesiders won the Cymru Premier Development League, National Final, and British Cup -- the latter of which he was Man of the Match and scorer of the winning goal.
Luca has also represented Welsh Schools' FA, starting each game of the Centenary Shield last season as the youngsters became the first Welsh team in history to retain the trophy. Having cleared paperwork late last week, Luca was available to play the full 90 minutes away at Newtown on Saturday afternoon and showed promise as a quality addition to Anthony Williams' options in the final third. Luca told us: "My first impressions of the club are positive; it’s a great club to be at with a great set up, and and with it being quite a young squad, I feel I've settled in well. The manager is really good and wants us to play a good style of football which definitely plays to my strengths as a player as I can get in behind defenders and get myself one on one. Similarly, the lads have really welcomed me into the team and been nothing but supportive on the pitch. My thoughts on the Newtown game are that as a team we played well; we were able to create lots of opportunities in the game but just need to be more clinical in the final third. As a team we defended very well with everyone putting their bodies on the line. My best qualities on the pitch are my pace and running with the ball. I am definitely at my best when I have the ball at my feet and I’m a confident goal scorer. My ambition for the loan spell is to get experience playing at the Premier senior level and I’m hoping to learn a lot from it." Manager Anthony Williams commented: "Luca showed his strengths in the Newtown game on Saturday -- for a young player, his level of maturity is excellent, he's physically strong, quick, and has an eye for goal. He is a fantastic addition for us and I have no doubt that he will improve with every game he plays." Croeso i Aber, Luca! Comments are closed.
