Captain Amy Jenkins scored her first goal of the season as Aberystwyth Town Women grabbed a point away against perennial bogey team Cardiff Met. Jenkins opened the scoring before Erin Murray equalised just on the stroke of half-time - the first goal the Seasiders have conceded so far this campaign. Sgoriodd y capten Amy Jenkins ei gôl gyntaf o’r tymor wrth i Ferched Tref Aberystwyth gipio pwynt oddi cartref yn erbyn tîm bythol bogi Met Caerdydd. Agorodd Jenkins y sgorio cyn i Erin Murray ddod yn gyfartal ychydig cyn hanner amser – y gôl gyntaf i’r Seasiders ildio hyd yn hyn yn yr ymgyrch hon. And it was a well deserved point that Gavin Allen's side took back to Ceredigion. "This is a great point on the road for us," said Jenkins afterwards, "and one we really deserved." Aberystwyth Town Women's next match is in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup, away against Llanfair United on Sunday 15th October. They return to Park Avenue on Sunday 22nd October (kick-off 2pm) when they face Wrexham. Ac roedd hi’n bwynt haeddiannol i dîm Gavin Allen fynd yn ôl i Geredigion.
"Mae hwn yn bwynt i ffwrdd gwych i ni" meddai Jenkins wedyn, "ac yn un yr oeddem yn ei haeddu mewn gwirionedd." Mae gêm nesaf Merched Tref Aberystwyth yng Nghwpan Cymru Bute Energy, oddi cartref yn erbyn Llanfair United ar ddydd Sul 15fed Hydref. Maent yn dychwelyd i Goedlan y Parc ddydd Sul 22 Hydref (cic gyntaf 2yh) pan fyddant yn gwynebu Wrecsam. Comments are closed.
