 Joe Clarke has left Aberystwyth Town and transferred to a Club closer to his South Wales home
Midfielder Clarke was one of four players to join the Black and Greens from Port Talbot in the summer and made a good impression from the start for his technical play and excellent footwork. A virtual ever present for Aber this season with 19 Dafabet WPL starts, Joe made a big impact for Town in December setting up Geoff Kellaway's winner at Cefn Druids with a deft touch, before scoring two absolute stunners at Newtown last Saturday to gain Aber a point which could still prove to be so crucial come January 15th. After Saturday's performance Joe was picked for Sgorio's 5 a side Team of the Week (see, left) and his goal was nominated for Gol y Mis, which you can view here. Unfortunately the lengthy travelling commitments have been difficult to balance with Joe's work and family life, and with a young child on the way, he and the Club have mutually agreed that a move is in his family's best interests. Joe can be proud of his time at Aberystwyth Town FC and leaves with a glowing CV. We wish him all the best for the future and believe that he will be a real star for his new Club.
