Flint Town United vs Aberystwyth Town
JD Cymru Premier Friday 9th September 7.45pm KO Aberystwyth Town travel to North East Wales tomorrow night hoping to replicate the result from the teams last visit to this part of the country – the opening day win at Airbus UK Broughton. Results have not gone Aber’s way since that victory but having had a full week since last Friday’s home match with Bala Town, the Seasiders will come into this game refreshed, reinvigorated and looking to get back to winning ways. Tomorrow nights hosts have had a strong start to the season and currently sit in 4th position after 5 games, with 3 wins and 9 points on their record, including an impressive 2-0 victory at UEFA Europa Conference League entrants Newtown. Lee Fowler took over the reigns at the Essity Stadium this summer and has refreshed the squad, bringing in the likes of former Tranmere & Shrewsbury forward Jean-Louis Akpa-Akpro, former Bala Town defender Anthony Stephens and one time Man Utd prospect Larnell Cole. Another new signing, Okera Simmonds, has really caught the eye having netted 3 times already this season – a return only bettered in the league by Cardiff Met’s Sam Jones and Penybont’s Rhys Kavanagh at this stage. This will be the first time that they have played on home turf this season, following the installation of a new 3G pitch at the Essity Stadium. There will also be a new fan zone and catering facility at the ground, which will no doubt improve the matchday experience for home and away fans alike. Flint Town United’s website offers the following advice on travel to The Essity Stadium. The stadium sits on the banks of the Dee Estuary, a short walk away from Flint Castle. You’ll find a car park near the RNLI Lifeboat Station. Once that fills up, we ask you to be respectful about where you park. Try to consider those living locally and avoid blocking any driveways, streets or access roads. If you can, come on foot or on the train. It’ll make your journey home easier and give you some eco-credentials too. Tickets are priced at £8 for Adults, £5 for Seniors, £2 for Juniors and U11’s are free. Tickets can be purchased in advance on https://flinttownunited.co.uk/. Green Army … assemble! Comments are closed.
