Haverfordwest County vs Aberystwyth Town
JD Cymru Premier Friday 11th February 7.45pm KO After two back-to-back home wins, Aberystwyth Town hit the road again this Friday and head for Pembrokeshire to face last Tuesday’s visitors to Park Avenue, Haverfordwest County. The Seasiders’ form on the road has been impressive recently, with only 1 defeat in the last six away outings in all competitions, and with the recent upturn in form at home, ATFC not only have a Welsh Cup Quarter Final to look forward to next week, but are still mathematically in contention for a Top Six place also! Aber come into this match after a well-earned weekend off, but preparation has already started and the management team and players are hopeful of another big away following for this important fixture. Manager Antonio Corbisiero commented “on Tuesday, we’ll work hard again and prepare right for Haverfordwest away. It’s nice to put on a performance like that for the supporters and hopefully we’ll continue to get a little bit more support each week.” Friday’s hosts are finding wins hard to come by at the moment – last picking up maximum points on 30th October at home to Newtown. Since the league returned in mid-January however, only ATFC have managed to beat the Bluebirds, with two of the current top 3 (Newtown & Penybont) having to settle for just a point from their encounters. Ben Fawcett is still the man to watch at Bridge Meadow, having netted 5 times this season so far. Former Seasider Alhagi Touray Sisay also has 5 goals to his name and always provides a threat, whilst Jordan Davies will be looking to get off the mark following his January move from Connah’s Quay Nomads. Bridge Meadow Stadium can be found by using postcode SA61 2EX. Tickets have been reduced to £5 for Adults, £3 for Concessions and U16s are free. Green Army …. It’s time for Match 1001!
