Aberystwyth Town have received a major boost ahead of the 2018/19 season with the news that experienced goalkeeper Chris Mullock has committed his future to the club for another year. Chris was Aber's Number 1 between the posts last season, and joined the club for a loan spell back in September 2016, before joining permanently ahead of the 2017/18 season. The Wrexham-born 'keeper joined TNS from Cymru Alliance side, Cefn Druids in the summer of 2013 and spent the majority of the 2013/14 season on loan at Newtown after joining the Robins in September 2013. Chris famously kept a clean sheet against Finnish Giants, MyPa in the Europa League first qualifying round and helped his former team mates to a famous draw. He has played for Druids, Newtown, Aberystwyth Town and TNS since making his WPL debut in 2006/7. Chris was a standout performer in many of Town's key games last season, with a notable performance in the 3-3 draw away at Carmarthen Town back in February, making two astounding saves which you can view again here. Supporters might remember Chris most for scoring the first ever competitive goal on Park Avenue's new 3G Facility with an astonishing 65 yard free kick for the Black and Greens against Rhyl in October 2016, which you can watch again here. Everyone at the club are delighted to have Chris back for another season and look forward to seeing many more astonishing saves in 2018/19! Comments are closed.
