 Aberystwyth Town Football Club are excited to announce the signing of attacking forward Paulo Mendes, who spent a spell with Darlington FC last season. Portuguese-born Paulo has previous experience of playing in the Welsh system, after signing for Airbus UK Broughton back in 2016, and is a dynamic, versatile midfielder who can also play as a central striker.
Paulo spent time playing for Estrela de Amadora and Oeiras as a youngster in his native country of Portugal, before moving to the UK five years ago. He's also had spells playing for Vauxhall Motors, Nantwich Town, Colwyn Bay, Oxford City and most recently Darlington last season. Everyone at the club would like to wish Paulo a warm welcome to Park Avenue, and Town's supporters can see the Portuguese playmaker in action in Aber's first pre-season friendly at home to Halesowen Town next Saturday afternoon.
