JD Cymru Premier Friday 4th October (ko 7.45pm) Penybont v Aberystwyth Town Aberystwyth Town are looking to bounce back on Friday evening as they make a first ever visit to the Kymco Stadium, home of Penybont FC for a JD Cymru Premier match (ko 7.45pm). The Black and Greens enjoyed a major boost last week with a rousing Nathaniel MG Cup Third Round win at Cardiff Met, but were less successful on Friday, losing 2-0 at Bala Town after a battling performance. This was free scoring Aber’s first goal-free match of the season, so more net busters are high on Town’s wish list ahead of Friday’s match away to the promoted Welsh League Champions from Bridgend. Penybont enjoyed their first win of the season at home to Airbus ten days ago, and have followed that up with defeats at Newtown (in the League Cup) and Connah’s Quay on Sunday. The Bont have some familiar faces, managed as they are by Rhys Griffiths, and Luke Borelli and Kostya Georgievsky are also amongst the roster. As ever in South Wales a good walk up of Aber fans is expected to the Kymco Stadium, which is located a few miles outside to the West from Bridgend Town Centre. Penybont’s excellent Clubhouse will be guaranteed to provide a warm welcome to Black and Greens supporters, who will need to be in good voice to cheer Town to a positive result. The match will be played at the KYMCO Stadium, Bryntirion Park, Llangewydd Road, Bridgend and postcode CF31 4RH is suggested for finding the ground. Admission will cost £7. Come with!
