Aber Town Women will compete in their second successive Genero Adran Trophy Semi-Final when they face Cardiff City tomorrow afternoon. Victory last time out against CPDM Y Felinheli ensured the Seasiders progressed into the last four. A brace from Gwenllian Jones helped Aber on their way, adding to her hattrick against Connah's Quay Nomads in the round before, meaning she is the joint top scorer in the competition. Rebecca Mathias and Bethan Roberts also added their names to the score sheet, in a 4-0 win in North Wales.
This time, it's a trip to the capital to face the Adran Premier champions. Cardiff City come into the game on the back of a rare defeat, losing 2-0 to South Wales rivals Swansea City. Their last defeat before that in any domestic competition came in this competition against Cardiff Met in the final last year, and they'll be looking to go one step further this season as they target the treble. Teenage star Eliza Collie is the one to watch for the Bluebirds. The 19-year-old has 21 goals in all competitions, including five in the Genero Adran Trophy. Gari Lewis gave his thoughts ahead of Sunday's game, acknowledging that it won't be an easy task against The Bluebirds. Lewis said: "It's a massive test for the girls. Cardiff are an outstanding side. I have a lot of respect for the way they play. There's no pressure on us. We go there with confidence." Vice-Captain Rebecca Mathias also spoke about the ambition of playing in a final: "It would mean the world to the club. The girls that have been here years, I'd be so excited for them if we could get to a final." Meddai Ffiona Evans cyn y gem: "Bydd yn gêm anodd ac yn hollol wahanol i'r gêm wythnos dwethaf, ble cawsom tipyn o'r meddiant.
