Uwchgynghrair Genero Adran Premier Sul/Sun 24 Maw/March (CC/KO 2yh/pm) Tref Aberystwyth Town v Dinas Caerdydd/Cardiff City Bydd Menywod Tref Aber yn croesawi Dinas Caerdydd brynhawn Sul, wrth i’r Gwyrdd a’r Duon cynnal eu gem gartref gyntaf yn ail haen y tymor. Aber Town Women host Cardiff City in the Genero Adran Premier on Sunday, as the Seasiders play their first game at Park Avenue in Phase Two. The two sides face off for the third consecutive game, with Town having travelled to the capital in their opening Phase Two game, and a Genero Adran Trophy Semi-Final a few weeks ago. With last weekends’ game against Swansea City having been postponed, it means the Seasiders have had a two-week gap to prepare for Sunday’s game, as the champions come to town.
The visitors Cardiff City are eyeing the treble this season, something they were one game away from doing last season. They currently sit eight points at the top of the Championship Conference, having played a game more than Swansea. They come into this game on the back of a 6-1 away win against Wrexham, once again stating their quality to the rest of the league. Eliza Collie bagged a hattrick in that game, whilst Rhianne Oakley scored a brace to help City on their way to the win. Cayman Islands international Molly Kehoe also got on the scoresheet. In the last meeting between the Bluebirds and Aber, it was Cardiff who made sure of the victory after two early second half goals. Oakley gave Cardiff the lead in the first half, before quick fire goals from Hollie Smith and Eliza Collie inside the first five minutes of the second half completed the victory for the hosts on the day. Despite the result, it was a much-improved performance from the previous time that Aber faced Cardiff, and they’ll be looking for an even better performance in front of a home crowd. Amy Jenkins ahead of the game: “The reason we wanted to be in the top four is to play against teams like Cardiff City. They’ve got great squad depth. On the pitch you learn from them. We’ve learnt a lot about ourselves as well when we’ve played against them. We want to get the fans behind us and try and get a result."
