Barry have returned to the JD Cymru Premier this season after one season in the JD Cymru South, where they were crowned champions last season. On their return they have picked up 14 points from their opening 12 games, and sit in 10th position. They have won 2 and lost 3 of their last five matches, and picked up a crucial three points last weekend away at Colwyn Bay. Ollie Hulbert is Barry’s top scorer so far this season, with 7 goals to his name, whilst the always dangerous Kayne McLaggon has netted 4 times on his return to the top flight. There will be a number of familiar faces in the yellow & blue of Barry this weekend. Jamie Veale, who spent two years in Black & Green from 2020-22 was their major summer signing, joining from Haverfordwest County. Rhys Davies, who spent the same two seasons at Park Avenue, is in his 2nd season at Jenner Park having moved last summer. Goalkeeper Mike Lewis is in his 8th season with the club having moved directly from Aber in 2016 following four years in Ceredigion, which included a Welsh Cup Final and European campaign. Everyone at Aberystwyth Town would like to congratulate Mike and his partner Abby on the arrival of their son George earlier this week! Barry have designated this Saturday’s match as a Fun Day for their Share A Smile campaign. There will be bouncy castles, ice cream, face painting and a burger van on site ahead of kick off at Jenner Park. The fun starts at 12pm, with the match kicking off at 2.30pm. Jenner Park is situated on Barry Road and the postcode for the stadium is CF62 9BG. There is no parking for visiting supporters at the stadium, but there is plenty of street parking available in the local area. Come along and help the Black & Greens continue the positive bounce of a good result! Comments are closed.
