Aberystwyth Town welcome neighbours Bow Street to Aberystwyth University Park Avenue tonight for their penultimate pre-season match. With the first competitive game now known to be an away tie at Barry Town United in the Nathaniel MG Cup, preparations are ramping up for Anthony Williams side with less than two weeks to go until that trip to Jenner Park.
Tonight’s visitors had a successful side last year in the Ardal North East League under the guidance of manager Llyr Hughes, finishing in an impressive 3rd place behind Caersws, who would go on to seal promotion via the playoffs, and Cefn Albion. There are a number of players in the Bow Street ranks who have pulled on the famous Black & Green jersey at one time or another, including Rhydian Davies who made 43 first team appearances between 2011-2015 and Richie Ricketts who was a regular member of the squad under both Gavin Allen & Antonio Corbisiero. ATFC’s final pre-season match takes place this coming Saturday away at City of Liverpool FC. It will be a 2pm kick-off at the Berry Street Garage Stadium in Bootle. Admission prices for tonight’s friendly at Aberystwyth University Park Avenue will be £5 for adults and £3 for concessions, and £1 for Secondary School Age kids. Comments are closed.
