Pre Season Friendly Saturday 22nd July (ko 2.30pm) Aberystwyth Town v Haverfordwest County Park Avenue hosts Neville Powell's second match in charge of Aberystwyth Town this Saturday - and his first in the dug out as the Black and Greens host Welsh League big hitters Haverfordwest County with a 2.30pm kick off. James Loveridge's dramatic 93rd minute strike caused Aber to lost their opening friendly at home to Llanelli 4-3, and Powell spent the entire match watching the game from the elevated heights of the gantry. He offered an honest assessment to Aber Town's Youtube Channel after the game, saying: "It was a good competitive game. The result doesn't matter, but obviously we need three or four experienced Welsh Premier players, The Squad (needs) leaders if we're going to compete, we need experience and winners." Saturday's visitors will be as familiar as last week boasting as they do a number of players who have donned the Black and Green in the past: Steff Williams, Greg Walters, Ricky Watts, Sam Rodon and new Manager Tim Hicks to name but five! County finished fourth in last year's Welsh League Division One and will be looking to mount a title challenge this season with a strong squad. Town used twenty players last weekend, including four trialists and five under 19s Players, and with a further three weeks remain until the big kick off, Powell can be expected to run the rule over further personnel on Saturday. Early Bird Season Tickets and and Season Ticket Renewals will be available for £90 from Club Secretary Emyr James on Saturday and an Application Form can be downloaded below. Admission will cost £4 for Adults and £2 for Kids and Kick off at Park Avenue is at 2.30pm. See you there! Comments are closed.
