Dafabet Welsh Premier League Friday 16th December (ko 7.45pm) Cefn Druids v Aberystwyth Town Matthew Bishop's Black and Greens can't wait to get going again as their Welsh Premier League campaign kicks back in on Friday night at the Rock, the dramatic home of Cefn Druids. The weather has really put a spanner in the works over the last month, as 94mph winds in Aberystwyth and a hard freeze in the Rhondda have lead to two of Aber's last three league games being called off. So after playing one single league game in 33 days, Aber supporters will be delighted to gorge over Christmas and New Year on four games in 15 days. The Team should certainly be fresh and will be in great spirits after beating Holywell Town 2-0 in a convincing Welsh Cup display two weeks ago, thanks to goals from Kurtis March and Luke Borrelli. Cefn Druids will be tough opponents, particularly at the Rock where they have held high flying Connah's Quay and Bala Town this season, and with Huw Griffiths' sides known for their defensive organisation, Aber will have to work hard to break down the resolute Druids. The Seasiders however will have been boosted by results elsewhere in the Welsh Prem since they downed tools. Town now are six points short of sixth position but with two games in hand on Llandudno, Aber's destiny is in their own hands once again. If you choose to choose a Black and Green Friday over a Black Friday the Coach leaves Park Avenue at 4pm and a return trip will cost just £10. Christmas Jumpers welcome! Comments are closed.
