Dafabet Welsh Premier League Friday 4th September (ko 7.45pm) Port Talbot Town v Aberystwyth Town After a hugely positive performance and result at Park Avenue last Friday night, Aberystwyth Town are looking confident going into this Friday night's Dafabet Welsh Premier League toughie at the Genquip Stadium, Port Talbot (ko 7.45pm). Two debut goals from Jamie Reed and a stunner from Luke Sherbon earned Ian Hughes' men a 3-1 win last weekend, but in two days time Town travel down South to face opponents who have proved already in their two WPL games that they are not to be sniffed at either. The Steelmen's Manager Andy Dyer has recruited cannily over the summer and has gradually developed a talented squad, in which the talents of players such as Kaid Mohammed, Martin Rose, Steve Cann and Luke Bowen can be expected to shine in 2015/6. Port Talbot drew 0-0 with Bala in their home opener and beat Bangor 2-1 at the Bangor University Stadium last Saturday. Ian Hughes has no additional injury worries after the Rhyl game. Geoff Kellaway will serve the last of his 3 match suspension, but Town this week bolstered their First Team squad by signing youngster Liam Jaques from Bow Street - and he will wear the number 19 shirt. Aber have a fairly good record of late at the Genquip, winning both games 2-1 last season. Black and Green Supporters buoyed by last week's events will be delighted to hear that the Coach leaves Park Avenue at 4pm, and a return fare to the Genquip will cost the customary £10. Friday Nights are made for Dabafet WPL Matches - don't miss out! Comments are closed.
