Aberystwyth Town FC are delighted to announce the signings of Declan Walker and Declan Carroll, to bolster Neville Powell's Squad ahead of the Black and Greens' Welsh Premier League campaign, which kicks off in seventeen days time. Walker was rated as one of the best right backs in the Welsh Premier League during three seasons starring as part of Powell's Bangor City side, making 61 appearances and scoring twice before a cruel injury curtailed his career at Nantporth in 2016/7. Warrington based Declan had previously represented the Republic of Ireland's Under 19s side and Wrexham in the Blue Square Premier League. He has been playing on trial during Aber's pre season campaign and put pen to paper this week. Carroll will be no stranger to Aber supporters, returning as he does for a second spell in Black and Green. A prominent part of Tomi Morgan's squad in 2012/3, Carroll has since gone on to strengthen his reputation as a superbly skilled midfielder with both Haverfordwest County and Carmarthen Town. He made 29 WPL appearances for Aber, scoring three times, as part of a career WPL total of 109 appearances and ten goals. He like Walker has appeared during pre season for Powell's men and also signed on the dotted line this week. The Club is delighted to welcome both players to Aberystwyth and we are sure they will be huge assets during the forthcoming season. Photos courtesy of Chris Howells Comments are closed.
