 The Welsh Premier League is delighted to announce that from the 2015/16 season the competition will be sponsored by international online gaming and betting company Dafabet.
New headline sponsors Dafabet have agreed a deal starting from the 2015/16 season and the WPL are proud to announce that this deal is the biggest in the league’s history. The WPL has pushed new boundaries in recent season’s building a stronger brand presence, more engaging communications with fans & stakeholders via new & social media and an enhanced television broadcaster relationship with S4C. Following the news of Dafabet linking up with the WPL, League Secretary Gwyn Derfel commented, “I am very pleased that Dafabet have become headline sponsors for our National League in Wales. Dafabet’s increasing portfolio of partnerships with major players in the sporting world show the company’s faith in our ever improving product. I thank Dafabet for their faith and investment and look forward to a productive future for the Dafabet Welsh Premier League.” Dafabet, founded in 2004, is a leading online gaming and betting website, offering customers with a unique and exciting gaming experience whilst providing a safe and fair environment they can trust and enjoy. Dafabet already have a strong presence in football after being main club sponsors of this year’s FA Cup finalists Aston Villa for the last two seasons, they continue to have a long term betting partnership with Everton – a partnership just extended for a further three seasons. They have also recently been announced as new main club sponsor of both Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers, as well as becoming International Partners of Celtic. The company also have a strong relationship with World Snooker having sponsored the Masters for the last two years, in a deal that has another two years to run – they also sponsored the 2014 World Snooker Championship.
